Adam and Joe were discussing The Wire on 6 Music this weekend, with Joe noting how, even though he’s never seen it, he feels able to hold a conversation about the show purely based on ubiquitous internet chatter. To wit: “Oh yes, it’s slow to begin with, but when you get to episode four…Omar, he’s the best character, oh yes…the characters are so *true*, everybody has flaws, it’s marvellous…” All of which is true. And none of which is a reason not to watch.
