I don’t think it was up very long before the match, maybe just a couple hours maximum?
I don’t think it would be worth the effort to pay people to do it. Too risky he’d be caught out. We’ll see how he does on other predictions if there are any in this TV thing.

Also reminds me of a trick in my Ali Baba magic book – you get a person to pick one of six coloured matchboxes, then show them that they had predicted that you’d pick that one. As it turns out, each matchbox is “predicted” in a different way – black cross on the inside, underneath etc. Simple spread betting/covering of bases. Just don’t do it twice with the same audience.

He didn’t devise a system to win on horse racing. If you watched that show, all the production team did was get a group of punters to place a small amount of money on each horse is small field 7f seller at Wolverhampton.
Those that backed the winning horse, were then asked if they would like to carry on – those that backed the non winner horses were refunded, and fell out of the show.

This was then repeated until the show was left with 1 punter and 1 last race, and after a rather convoluted set-piece where low level hyponsis was involved, at the final race at Haydock (i think) she was told to put a couple of grand on the horse Derren suggested, and it lost. Cue miserable faces but then, a bit of slight of hand bet recepit replacement from the Brownmiester and she found that she had the winning horse afterall and it was all smiles and bulging back pockets from the tenners she got back.

In the early stages of the show there was no ‘magic’ system, just maths and covering all possibilities before the Derren Brown showmanship kicked in for the showstopping last race scene at the end.

He predicted it correctly, saw a link to the site it was on, that surely has to be part of The Events.
