More Serafinowicz

Monday, September 22, 2008 by

“Goodbye dirt!” The Peter Serafinowicz Show is to return.

Probably one of the most promising sketch shows of recent years, a Christmas special of Mr Serafinowicz’s eponymously named programme – which debuted last winter – will be going in front of the cameras in Teddington Studios on Thursday 25 September.

Here’s hoping the Terry-Wogan’s-alcoholic-twin sketch (excised from the original series because it wasn’t a direct TV parody) makes the final cut this time.

Anyway, to tide you over, let’s have one of the best sketches from the first series…

Brilliant news! The first series was tremendously fun – I can’t understand why it didn’t hit bigger. My personal favourite is probably the 1940′s Who Would Like To Win One Hundred Pounds? “The cleverest man in my street, sir.” That and the Brian Butterfield ads. Sheer genius.

I’d also like to see a DVD release – I’m sure there must be a full version of Ringo Starr’s Goldfinger to put in the extras somewhere!
