Breakfast with David
Monday, November 3, 2008 by Graham Kibble-White
David Tennant’s just popped up on Breakfast.
Not much of note to add, although he did reveal he’d met with Steven Moffat before finally handing in his notice on Doctor Who: “I had a meeting… and he told me some of the ideas he’s got coming up… and they sound sooo good.”
As for whether his involvement with the series would truly severed, he said: “Listen, who knows what might happen in the future. And it is one of those parts that sticks to you. But as a day-to-day role I’m handing it over to someone else.”
Finally, he was pushed for news on the casting of his successor. “There are no secrets to be kept. The doors are all open right now.”
A video of the interview will be available on the Breakfast website.
Some of those comments have been wildly misinterpreted as Tennant saying he’s not really leaving at all or might come back in the future.
“Coming in 2020 to Big Finish …”
Really, really looking forward to Einstein and Eddington.
